I really like the set up for this scene but I ended up a bit confused about the conclusion. Is the dad having an affair or are they the son’s? I wonder if it’s stronger if the dad is guilty, and we get to watch all the tricks he tries to cover his tracks (including falsely blaming his son). I also wonder whether the mom would be so forthcoming about her surgery so soon in the scene? It feels more like a climactic reveal. Nice work!
