I’ve often thought that we’ve misinterpreted the ‘gift’ of the democratisation of video. People think it means ‘anyone can become the next Spielberg’ but the real opportunity is to become a Herzog: pursuing unadulterated self-expression. This idea of the ‘middle class media maker’ takes it a step further and I like it.
